How to get?

You can get UFO coins by mining them or buying them on an exchange platfom

UFO is powered by the Neoscrypt algorithm which is current GPU friendly and ASIC unfriendly, this means that anyone with a desktop computer can mine UFO coins and support the network. You can find all resources on how to start earning UFO coins below, including a video tutorial, currently in German.

How to mine UFO Coins (Deutsch)

Mining Pools

UFO can be mined either solo or by joining a pool. When solo mining all mined blocks are generated to the miner’s credit. Pool mining rewards miners based on their hashing contribution to the network and usually collects a fee.

More info on solo vs pooled minining can be found here.

Miner software

Mining UFO coins is done by a miner software which utilises the computer’s graphics processor.

Example config file for R9 280X:

nsgminer –neoscrypt -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 –gpu-engine 1000 –gpu-memclock 1500 -o stratum+tcp://some_pool:some_port -O some_user:some_password

You can significantly reduce syncing times by downloading a more recent copy of the blockchain. Unpack it in your C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\UFO\block folder
